The artisan's village of Shilpgram is a living ethnographic museum depicting the lifestyle, traditions, customs and folk arts of the rural and tribal people of the states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Daman and others of the West Zone. Every year, it hosts a crafts fair (Utsav) which is one of the biggest in India and also features plenty of live performances.

The village includes several huts constructed in the traditional architectural style using mud and local building materials. It is spread out over 55 acres, surrounded by the Aravali mountains and includes a Terracotta Museum, a museum of masks, sculptures, folk and musical instruments and an amphitheatre.

Shilpgram Utsav(Festival) is intended to bring the creations of hundreds of talented craftsmen to the doorsteps of common man eliminating middlemen. More than 400 craftsmen & artisans from all over the country put up their stalls in the traditional ‘Haat Bazar’ environment of Shilpgram every year, where they create, exhibit and sell their masterpieces. Every evening witnesses a riotous colour of folk dances, music from various part of country and programmes organised on different themes.
